Tony Tickle has arranged and finalised the artists for Burrs 2013 and it looks to be another excellent event. Tony tells me that of the 30 places, only 15 are left. Quick booking will ensure a place on this superb bonsai weekend. Not to be missed.

Guest speakers on the European bonsai forum
We have a new section on the forum where well known artists are asked a series of questions. We asked the artists to take their time with the answers to impart passion and the character of the person. I think this is working really well. Please have a look. First was Peter Warren

Second was Enrico Savini

There will be regular additions of artists and their own take on bonsai and what makes the artist tick.

Erik Krizovensky drawing for my raft Elm
I have been thinking about a pot for the future of my Elm raft. My first thought was towards a traditional pot by Gordon Duffett as I love his glazes but I asked Erik Krizovensky as I have admired his work for a number of years. This is what he imagined the planting could look like. I love it. http://wildwoodbonsai.blogspot.co.uk/2011/06/english-elm-raft.html
