My Peter Krebs pot for the Blackthorn

The new pot for my Blackthorn (Prunus spinosa) arrived in the post today from the Netherlands and in good time for the Swindon Winter image show. I love Peters work and have wanted one of his pots for a long time. It just so happened that a friend on the European bonsai forum was selling one. Too good an opportunity to miss. Show preparation for my Prunus spinosa

Only a few days left before the Swindon Winter Image show in the UK. The best show in the UK in my opinion and mainly deciduous trees exhibited. My Prunus has been in wire for the last 4 years so it was time to take it off.
All the Algae was cleaned from the bark and branches and the whole tree was brushed over with Camelia oil. This brings out the dark colour of the bark. The soil surface was dressed with Mosses too.
I am hoping to repot this tree into a Peter Krebs pot I have just ordered. Fingers crossed. More pictures on the history and evolution of this tree on the link below
